75TH ANNIVERSARY VIEWING GLASS
The British Society of Cinematographers has commissioned a commemorative Viewing Glass to celebrate its 75th Anniversary of its inauguration in 1949. Designed for cinematographers, gaffers and collectors alike, lis item will limited to 25 silver and 250 brass pieces. All numbered and registered to each sale
The BSC Board would present a govenor with Presidents Viewing Glass for theirtime in office and this is based on its iconic shape. CNC machined out of solid brass, the eyepiece is them laser engraved and hand finished with a high polish, complete with a brushed aluminium hood and lanyard.
Working with Tiffen Filers we have selected a Tiffen NATural ND3.0 (FSND) optic, equivalent - 10 Stop ND for looking at cloud movment and bright sources without eye strain.
It has been designed in conjunction with James Friend ASC, BSC and us here at Arkane to the highest quality in the uk. All metal parts have been made by us and finished by us here in the UK, witht the filter coming from Tiffen Made in USA

The BSC and Arkane have collaborated with From The Silver Screen to produce a very rare and solid 925 sterling silver adition of the 75th commemorative Viewing Glass
Limited to 25 peices ONLY, the eyepeice is made from material harvested from silver halide which is a by-product created during the traditional film development process.
Each item has undergone meticulous refinement to become 925 sterling silver adding touch of uniqueness and luxury - hand finished, hallmarked and numbered, complete with a gloss black anodised optics hood and lanyard.
